Sharpening Instructions

To not void your lifetime warranty, you must call us toll free at 866-597-4275 for instructions on returning your shears for service.

We will direct you to a certified SHARK FIN sharpener in your area. ALL service and sharpening on Shark Fin Shears MUST be performed at a Shark Fin Shears authorized facility.

The reason that you cannot use a non-certified Shark Fin sharpener, is because most sharpeners do not do the quality work that is required to keep your Shark Fin Shears in optimum condition.

Please do the following:

1. Put your name, address, phone number, and email address, with a short note about the problem you are experiencing in the box with your shears so that we know where to ship them back to and can call you for additional information.
2. Insure your shears for their full value, so that if they are lost or damaged during shipping, you are protected.
3. Shark Fin Shears offer lifetime free sharpening, which means that as long as we are resurfacing the blades we only charge you $20.00 for shipping and handling. If the shears have any nicks or chips in the blades the charge is $35.00 because of the increased time involved in restoring the blades. We will call you with the charges and for payment information.
4. Return your Shark Fin shears in the original box. If you do not have that box, then secure the shears by wrapping a rubber band or tape over the tips to keep the shear fully closed while it is in-transit.
5. Carefully wrap your shears in bubble-wrap or tissue paper and put them into a padded, protective mailing envelope.
